The Omer Strain
The Omer strain has been sown for years in most regions in Israel.
The seeds are light in color and have white stripes, satisfying market demands.
The Omer seeds are large (both long and wide) and have a very high percentage of
Grade A kernels. A thousand seeds weigh approximately 220 grams.
The Omer strain has a high crop yield, producing over 3000 kilograms per hectare.
Crops of this size are harvested in many regions in Israel.
The Omer strain is 75-80 percent resistant to the Broomrape parasite.
This strain's roots act as a trap for Broomrape. The Broomrape seeds germinate,
come into contact with the sunflower roots and degenerate.
The Omer strain blooms earlier than most strains and is suitable for sowing
in non-irrigated conditions.
