The Gitit Strain

The Gitit strain is highly resistant to sunflower Broomrape and displays moderate to

good resistance to Egyptian Broomrape. This strain's roots act as a trap for the

Broomrape parasite.The Broomrape seeds germinate, come into contact with the

sunflower roots and disintegrate.

The Gitit strain has an especially high crop yield; over 3000 kilograms

per hectare have been harvested in many regions in Israel.

The Gitit strain is extremely robust and highly stress-tolerant.

A thousand seeds weigh approximately 210 grams.
